Bleeding Trust…

Trust is the cornerstone of any successful relationship, regardless what the nature of that relationship will be, whether it is love, or friendship or parenthood.
Know when someone trusts you, you hold their hearts in the palm of your hands, you have access to their weakness, their sensitivity, what you say or do can and will affect them, be conscious about that, and know the meaning that holds for them.
When you trust, you expose yourself, your vulnerabilities, your most intimate thoughts and states of being and feelings are jeopardized, and the people you have faith in become your fortress, your defense, against the uncommon and unknown grounds.
Joy of what might have been… sorrow of what will never be

“Only if” is a painful declaration! Our minds roam in the “it would have been” fields and areas of elation, of what could have happened if we had what we ached for had things been different in reality.
Only if we can fill that Gap between our hearts desires and what is within our Grasp… If only we had the power over time and space so we can manipulate the ” here ” and” there” and swing and juggle between them, it would be possible for us to get” there” from “here” and be transported to where we aspire backwards and forward whenever we had the urge to be taken to where we are obsessed…
The Diaologue of the Body& The Soul
The Duality of the human nature was and still is the most challenging, and thought provoking matter to intrigue the genius minds of famous intellectual philosophers, and scientists.
As interesting as it is for us to enclose two different worlds in ourselves, finding and achieving a unity between these two worlds can be an overwhelming experience that might lasts a lifetime.
And so the body and the soul came face to face with each other, in an attempt to get a better understanding of one another, and thus the dialogue begins:

Wonderland is the land of the ” No Wonder” where everything is possible and when all the nonesense make sense , where imagination is the only reality Alice knows of!
” I can’t explain myself…. i m not Myself” what a bold statement! How many of us have the courage to admit that lack of our self knowledge and our true colors…? Oh no , sure we will not, we are not in Wonderland, this is the “Enlightened Land”…

Lebanon: Heaven on Earth!

When I was only 7 years old in 1996 just as the war was ending, I returned to live in Lebanon. At that point I was excited to meet my family and to live a new life. I was happy here in Canada but I liked the idea for some reason. As soon as we arrived in Lebanon, of course nothing was what we expected. It was dirty, there was no electricity, I knew of the violence and didn’t know much else, I thought the Lebanese weren’t like the Canadians … not polite or nice. I went to school and for the first time wanted to just run away- schools in Canada were nothing like that. At the age of 11, after much thought, my parents decided Canada was the better choice for us in all aspects. And they weren’t wrong. Canada in my lifetime did me many favours. And I am after all Canadian. Today, 9 years later. I am 20 years old and I think of Lebanon just like a child ..

عندما يتحدّث الشباب عن الاستقلال…

أردته حديثا حول معاني الاستقلال و رؤية طلاب يتخصصون في علم السياسة لهذه القيمة و لكن عبس تحاول التشديد و التأكيد على حصر الحديث عند هذه النقطة فكان حوارا هادء حول مجمل الشؤون السياسيّة الجدليّة مع تركيز الكلام حول الاستقلال على بعد ساعات قليلة من حلول ذكراه السادسة و الستّون (اشارة الى أنّ المقتطفات المنقولة محصورة في نطاق الموضوع رغم تشعّب الحوار) . الثلاثاء في العاشر من تشرين الثاني توجهت كعادتي الى مبنى كليّة الحقوق و العلوم السياسيّة و الاداريّة في الجامعة اللبنانيّة , الفرع الثاني, وفي بالي تتوارد أسئلة أردت تدوينها لطرحها على طلّاب من مختلف الانتماءات السياسيّة و لكن عدلت عن هذه الفكرة واخترت العفويّة المطلقة في طرح الاسئلة لعلمي استحالة حصر النقاش عند نقطة معيّنة خاصّةعند طلّاب العلوم السياسيّة.
