The Cedars are crying… as the mountains stay silent wondering about the tragedy that lies below the people, the sons of Lebanon, the sons that were born from the same Earth, watered from the same river, and conceived from the same though of God…
The mountain asks the Cedar: ” Why do you weep my companion of nature? For you are too high, away from the tragedies that lay below at my feet, why do you weep?”
The Cedar answers:”I weep becuase I feel. I feel the pain of the earth and the suffering of the trees bellow. I feel the sharp winds ascending your majectic slopes and touching my roots. The hatred, the ignorance, the deciet, all these elements that were conceived by man are not a part of our nature my majestic companion. I feel the sadness of Lebanon, the country that has written on the books of time and sagas, a cultural story that its pages are being burned today by the flames of arrogance” The mountain remained silent, pondering the thoughts that entered his caverns. A moment passes, silent still resides… A hopeful cry, uttered by the sun… A ray of happiness carasses the mountain slope and touches the Cedars gently… Heavan has touched Lebanon… The Cedars are crying no more
