Art and painting is  the beautiful way to express feelings,hope and Love

One of my dear friends Hélène Deroubaix  a frensh artist living in Houdan in the north  of Paris is  a great artist  who I hade the previligue to interview her about her art and her plans for the future.

 For  the first time in arabic news site  I would like to present for you Hélène Deroubaix,the woman with big heart and wide imagination.

When  you talk to Hélène Deroubaix  you feel the taste of the sweet words in your mouth because of her answers coming from the heart.

AS:  Who is HD ?

HD:I am a French artist, I do mixed media paintings/collages and also visual poetry called Phoetry with

photos and using photohop to give more life to my images, to tell poetic stories.

AS: What  kind of art you paint ?

 HD:I paint art that talks to the soul, it’s raw, full emotions and sweetly colorful.

I mostly paint woman portraits as fairies or angels.

I want to share every face of women.

AS: what is the woman in HD´s art?

HD:The woman in my work is real and trying to find the pieces of her soul puzzle.

she wants to reconnect to everything she is in deep.

She is the spiritual twin, a guardian angel, a mother, a sister and many other things, most of them reveal a side of me but I am a human being and there is a difference between

the artist and the person I am.

 AS:What means love for HD?

HD:Love is the source of True deep art, love of everything.

I am in love with life, I love learning, discovering and trying new things

I always try to go further with my work and Love is a real energy it takes you to the best of yourself.

When I fall in love with a book, a poem or a piece of art I feel empowered and my artist path gets improved.

we are changed and inspired by the things and souls who touch us on the journey that life is.

Love is Passion,Understanding,Empathy…

AS: What makes  you paint?

HD:Emotions make me paint, nostalgia, poetry…sometimes just a word can inspire me a whole paiting with details.

I am inspired by colors, the beauty around us, feelings like Hope and empathy.

AS: how would you like to see the woman of today?

HD:Women should just be real and the same for men.

AS: what is the challenge every woman face?

They have to be everything and good at everything: working, being a wife, a friend, a sister, a mother etc

What is important is to just be who you are and to do what you can, nobody’s perfect

AS: What means freedom for HD ?

HD:freedom is an illusion, it’s good to feel free.

we feel this way when we love, give and take care of others.

Making others’ day brings much freedom in my soul.

art is also my place of huge freedom where I can do everything I want, anything is possible when I paint or retouch pictures

AS: how do  the perfect man look like in HD eyes?

HD:I don’t believe in this, like I’ve said above perfection does not exist

I think that what is beautiful is true kindness for free, generosity and people who accept the other as they are.

I love selfless kind of love but it’s rarer and rarer in this world.

AS: what means for you to  as a an artist  when you see the childrens in the worlds suffering from unjustice and war ? and can this effect your work as artist?

My work talks sometimes about the pain of the world like what happens in Tibet or what happened in Burma and all kind of suffering takes place in anywhere in the earth.

As a human being I can but feel empathy and as an artist I have to share my share of Light and hopes

HD:I really want to do more as an artist and when I’ll be able to live from my art I truly hope to do more actions with others artist to help the people suffering out there.

AS:  What is your plans for future?

I hope to be able to live from my work , I want to publish books, do any kind of illustrations for book or cd covers

HD:I want to work with other artists, do more exhibitions and one of my dreams is to have my own art studio/gallery where I could share my work with others,teach mixed media and have shows.

but in the meantime I live to the fullest each day I work hard and keep believing in my art even if sometimes I have my spirit so low, especially in winter time.

AS: when would  come to Beirut to show your work ?

HD:well I would love to show my work everywhere I am welcome and where people are interested in what I have to share.
