PART I Prevention of Domestic Violence
1. Basic knowledge (what is Domestic Violence?)
According to Domestic Violence Prevention Act, Article 2, “Domestic violence refers to any act of exercising any infringement, mentally or physically, among family members. Unlawful physical infringements include maltreatment, abandonment, detain sells, the force and seduction to engage in the improper occupation and behaviors, misuse the right of parenting, using or committing crime to children, inflicting injuries, offenses against freedom, sexual offenses, etc., It also includes whipping, hitting, kicking, pounding, pushing, pulling, slapping, grasping, nipping, burning, or twisting the body, clutching the hair, clutching throat or using instrument to attack, and so on.
2. The common characteristics of domestic violence offender
(1) Impulse and caprice frequently. Often getting along with others with rage,
criticisms, and threatening manners.
(2) Forcing opposite party to obey himself or herself. Punish if not obey.
(3) Lacking self-esteem and self-confidence. Stressing on authority and believing
in women are inferior to men.
(4) Unable to express own feelings. Have poor ability on self-control when in rage.
(5) Poor communication skill.
(6) Having no close friends. Excessively relies on family members and the spouse.
3. Characteristics of domestic violence victim
(1)Possible characteristics of domestic violence victims
1. There is often unexplainable bruise on the body.
2. Often wears sunglasses or putting on long sleeves to cover-up.

4. Having emotional fear and anxiety when referring to spouse.
5. One of the spouses or family children frequently confined at home and avoids interactions with others.
6. One of the spouses or family children frequently often act very timidly when outside.
7. One of the spouses is extremely lacking confidence.
(2)Possible characteristics of domestic violence children victims
1. Appearance or attire often is sloppy. Or overly neat to intentionally cover up wounds underneath.
2. Often have bruises on the body.
3. Have less interaction with peers or refuse peers to visit home.
4. Lack of self-confidence and flinch.
(3)Possible characteristics of sexual abuse victims
1. Having bruises and inflammation in these areas: reproductive organ, inner part of legs, the oral, throat, chest and the anus. Or laceration of hymen.
2. Having infection of venereal diseases or are pregnant.
3. Having difficulty while walking or sitting down, or having long-term abdominal pain and stomachache.
4. Sedulously hiding secondary sexual characteristics, such as puts on spacious clothes for covering up.
5. Fear or extremely repugnant toward certain specific family members.
6. Insomnia and poor vitality.
7. Unable to focus attention. School works regress suddenly.
8. Going to school ahead of time or postponing the time to leave school. Cutting classes. Running away from family and truancy.
9. Voluntarily being engaged in sexual work.
10. Having difficulty or fear to get along with the opposite sex.
PART II Prevention of Sexual Offenses
1. Basic Knowledge (How to define sexual offense)
Any behavior that involves the intension of sex is considered as sexual offense. The severe sexual offense includes sexual intercourse, oral sex, external ejaculation, contacts of sexual organ and sexual assault. Other less serve cases include showing pornography, oral sexual harassment, forcing others to watch pornographic movie, fondling female unceasingly and peeping. All above are within the scope of sexual offenses. Basically, it can be divided into five different types according to the degrees of violation, like sexual mocking or sexual acts, improper touching, giving rewards for sex, threatening sexual compulsion behaviors and rapes.

3. The Characteristics of sexual offense victims
(1)Possible changes on the body:
a. Frequent complaints of headaches. Or can not specify the spot of pain.
b. Walking with awkward posture. Or can not move as normal people.
c. Complaints of pains on reproductive organ.
d. Having disorders of digestion system: like stomachache, vomiting, loss of appetite, or increase of appetite and loss the sense of taste.
e. insomnia and poor vitality.
f. Appearance of unclear wound or trauma suddenly.
(2)Possible changes on the behavior.
a. Appearance of over early-maturing languages or behaviors.
b. Having destructive or attack behavior to own self or others.
c. Difficulties on concentrating on learning.
d. Occasional lost in thoughts and absent minded looks.
e. Becoming overactive, talkative and unstable.
f. Behaviors of lying, stealing, skipping classes and running away from home.
g. Does not want to be alone and need to be accompanied suddenly.
h. Becomes a quiet person suddenly.
(3)Possible changes on the emotion:
a. The mood fluctuates significantly and becomes tempered and aggressive.
b. Crying for unclear reasons.
c. Fear of adults or parents.
d. Having more new fear for no reason.
e. Fear of being alone and fear of darkness.
f. Having melancholy, depression and feeling inferior.
