What Image We Want to Give?
What image we want to give to others?
This question should be asked to all Arabs on Facebook.
Our societies used to be called traditional societies. But after Facebook became worldwide, we saw that our societies have the opposite image of the traditional societies but it was hidden. This can be proved on Facebook through checking the profiles of Arab members and the groups that are created by some of these members.
There are many wrong things happening in our societies and Facebook shed the light on them since the members can upload pictures and the pictures revealed their truth. A big percentage of the Arab girls show their beauty to the extreme as if they are telling guys do you want to have a piece of me.
On Facebook, we can also see a big number of Arab members who are homosexual or bisexual. Ten years ago, we had the homosexuality in our Arabian societies but it wasn’t seen.
Nowadays, Arabian people who are homosexual proudly admit it. These members give a bad look of the Arabian societies and it dominates the general good image of our societies. Is this the image of the Arabian societies that we want to show? Is this the image of the Arabian girls that we want to show?
In addition to what I mentioned above, there are a lot of Arabian girls who created fan clubs for them, through which they show their sexuality, while other girls created pure sexual groups. These groups really create a very bad image of our societies and very bad image of the Arabian girls. Is this the real image of the Arabian girl? Or it is just a bad image that covers the real image? Is this the image of our societies that we want the world to see?
At last, I hope all the Arabs on Facebook would unite together to find a solution for this problem and together we may find a way to show the real image of our societies.
1st of all, i dont think that facebook can really give a description of a certain society or culture.
2nd the thing u mentioned about homosexuals, well i dont think they should keep it locked up because they fear of how society would react, if they wanna reveal it they will and if they dont they wont. But i didnt like how u associated negativity with shedding the light on someone sexual orientation.
Well u cant actually do anything to prevent people or arabs from opening pages and groups that are purely dedicated to sex, u surely cant stop them. I just cant see what ur proposing in deviating that negative image.

This is the way the world goes nowadays.. i’m afraid we can’t do anything about it..
the only thing countries that the so called ARAB countries share, is the arabic language. Culture differ from one country to the other, even values. You cannot talk of the “arab girl” as if the girl from Kuwait let’s say, is the same girl from Syria.
you are worried of what people say about ARAB societies??? since when these societies are alike in the first place and who defines right from wrong???
What you talk about is merely superficial and is nothing compared to the real things happening. If these girls want to show themselves as naked or just promote themselves, then let them. At least they are being honest about it buy being open instead of doing it ta7t el tawle (under the table).
