BEIJING, March 24 — John Terry believes David Beckham should be captain if he earns his 100th international appearance for England in a friendly at France on Wednesday.     Terry was appointed England captain when Beckham stepped down from the position after the 2006 World Cup. New England coach Fabio Capello has not publicly decided if Terry will continue in the role.

    He missed Capello’s first game in charge, a 2-1 friendly win over Switzerland on February 6, with injury, while Beckham wasn’t selected because of fitness reasons.

    Now fit and expected to start against France at Saint-Denis, Terry said Beckham deserves to be captain if he plays.

    ”David is a credit to himself and what he has done is exceptional,” Terry told BBC Radio on Sunday. “If he is going to start or come on, he fully deserves to wear that England armband.

    ”I am very nervous about joining up with the squad and certainly don’t expect to be captain. I wish to continue as England captain and fingers crossed I can do that, but if not I will respect Mr. Capello’s decision.”

    Terry said he hoped that the LA Galaxy midfielder would reach his century of international games.

    ”He’s proved his fitness and he was really disappointed not be involved in the last game,” Terry said. “The whole country is hoping he gets his 100th cap, because if anyone deserves it, David Beckham does.”

BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhuanet) — Intel and Microsoft will develop parallel computing that allows computers to run faster by dividing tasks over multiple microprocessors instead of using a single processor to perform one task at a time, media reported Wednesday.

The two companies committed 20 million U.S. dollars over the next five years to create research centers focused on parallel computing at two U.S. universities, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and University of California, Berkeley. The two schools will contribute 15 million dollars toward the research centers.

“Parallelism is the path forward to the unprecedented levels of performance that are needed … to keep this growth going,” said Andrew Chien, director of Intel research.

The technology industry has been driven by the 1965 observation by Intel co-founder Gordon Moore for many years that the computing power of chips doubles roughly every two years, in what has become known as Moore’s Law.

Parallel computing has been hyped for years as the next big thing in technology, but the time has come, Microsoft, Intel and the universities said, to make it a reality.

It could lead to major advances in robotics or software that could translate documents in real time in multiple languages, for example, or a digital personal health care assistant.

“We’re really in the midst of a revolution in the computing industry,” said Tony Hey, executive vice president of external research at Microsoft Research, “and it really will profoundly affect the way we develop software” for supercomputers, server computers that form the backbone of corporate networks, desktop and laptop computers, as well as, ultimately, handheld devices

    A Blue Reef spokesman said the babies were proving very popular with visitors.

    He said: “Their faces are very distinctive, especially the apparent smile.”

    ”Some people have likened them to an alien or even the ‘The Last Human’ featured in Doctor Who.”

    British waters are home to nine different species of ray, including the electric and the giant skate, which can reach up to three metres.

    ”Thornbacks are the most common ray in British waters and can grow up to 1.2 metres in length,” the spokesman said.

    ”They are called thornbacks because their upper body is covered with coarse prickles.”

BEIJING, March 24 — Newly released documents show that Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (pictured right) donated more than 8 million U.S dollars to charity in 2006. Fox News reported on Friday the actors funneled more than 4 million dollars each to the Jolie Pitt Foundation, which was set up two years ago to aid humanitarian causes around the world.

 According to federal tax records, the foundation handed out around 2.4 million dollars in donations in 2006, including 1 million dollars each to both Doctors without Borders and the Global AIDS Alliance.

    Other cash gifts included 137,935 dollars to the Namibia Red Cross Action Program, the country where the couple’s biological daughter Shiloh was born.

    A donation of 100,000 dollalrs was also made to the Daniel Pearl Foundation, a trust set up to honor the former Wall Street Journal reporter murdered by Islamic extremists in Pakistan. Jolie played Pearl’s widow Marianne in last year’s acclaimed film A Mighty Heart.

    In addition, 20,000 dollars was donated to an art park in Los Angeles while two orphanages visited by Jolie received 5,000 dollars each. Pitt, 44, and Jolie, 32, are currently reported to be expecting their second child.

Google wants TV band for wireless use:

BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhuanet) — Google Inc. on Monday unveiled plans to use vacant television airwaves to provide wireless Internet without interfering with current equipment, media reported.

In a letter to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, the Internet leader outlined plans for low-power devices that use local wireless airwaves to access the “white space” between television channels. A Google executive called the plan “Wi-Fi 2.0 or Wi-Fi on steroids.”

“As Google has pointed out previously, the vast majority of viable spectrum in this country simply goes unused, or else is grossly underutilized,” Google said in the letter. “Unlike other natural resources, there is no benefit to allowing this spectrum to lie fallow.”

Rick Whitt, Google’s Washington telecom and media counsel, said this class of Wi-Fi devices could eventually offer data transmission speeds of billions of bits per second — far faster than the millions of bits per second available on most current broadband networks.

Google and Microsoft are part of a group that wants the FCC to unlock the airwaves for unlicensed uses, like mobile Web access, after broadcasters convert to digital signals in 2009.

The group also includes Dell Inc, Intel Corp, Hewlett-Packard Co and the north American unit of Philips Electronics.

Google plans to bolster revenue by creating more Internet services for mobile phones and devices based on Android, Google’s software that a variety of major equipment makers plan to use to build Internet-ready phones. Portable technology is outselling personal computers, giving the company new spots to place online advertising.

The idea is opposed by U.S. broadcasters and makers of wireless microphones, who fear the devices would cause interference.

BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhuanet) — Unwelcome strangers were allowed to peruse personal photos posted on Facebook Inc. because of a security lapse, getting around a recent upgrade to the website’s privacy controls.

The Associated Press verified the loophole Monday after receiving a tip from Byron Ng, a Vancouver, Canada, computer technician. Ng started searching for security weaknesses last week after Facebook unveiled more ways for 67 million members to restrict access to their personal profiles.

But the added protections weren’t enough to prevent Ng from pulling up the most recent pictures posted by Facebook members and their friends, even if the privacy settings were set to restrict the audience to a select few.

After being alerted Monday afternoon, a Facebook spokeswoman said the Palo Alto-based company would look into the problem. By late Monday, Facebook appeared to have closed the security hole.

The lapse serves as another reminder of the perils of sharing sensitive photos and personal information online, even when websites pledge to shield the information from prying eyes.

Before the fix, Ng’s computer-coding trick enabled him to find private pictures of Paris Hilton at the Emmy awards and of her brother Nicholas drinking a beer with friends and photos of many other people who hadn’t granted access to Ng.

Using Ng’s template, an AP reporter was able to look up random people on Facebook and see the most recent pictures posted on their personal profiles even if the photos were supposed to be invisible to strangers.

The revealed snapshots showed Italian vacations, office gatherings, holiday parties and college students on spring break. The AP also was able to click through a personal photo album that Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg posted in November 2005.

BEIJING, March 22 (Xinhuanet) — Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz, the ex-wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, is set to remarry in New York on Sunday with events organizer Richard Attias, a month after Sarkozy tied the knot with the model-turned-singer Carla Bruni, media reported Saturday.     French Morning, a U. S. website for expatriates living in New York, said Cecilia, 50, is to wed the Morocco-born PR guru, at an unknown location followed by a reception at the Rockefeller Center in central Manhattan.

  Guests would not be able to use cameras or phones with cameras, to protect the couple’s privacy, according to other reports.

     The marriage will be Cecilia’s third. It will be the first for the 48-year-old Attias.　

    Friends close to the couple said that it had been brought forward as “revenge” for Sarkozy “embarrassing” her by marrying Italian model Carla Bruni, six weeks ago.　

    Rumors have been doing the rounds about the couple’s wedding and earlier this month Italian fashion house Versace had said that the couple would get married and “have chosen to wear Versace for happy occasion of their wedding.”

    Cecilia and Sarkozy announced their divorce on Oct. 18, 2007, ending a stormy 11-year marriage. The couple had one son, Louis, together.

Sarkozy, 53, married Bruni in February, less than four months after his divorce.

    Like Bruni, Cecilia is also a former fashion model. In 2005, when Sarkozy was Interior Minister, she left him for Attias, following him to Cannes and New York.

    She returned to Sarkozy in 2006 and was at his side during his successful campaign for the presidency.

    Even in a book published after her divorce, Cecilia described Attias as the great love of her life.

عُثر على جثة طفلة حديثة الولادة داخل كيس أسود وملفوفة بقطعة قماش في مكب للنفايات في برج الشمالي.
وتبيّن بعد كشف الطبيب الشرعي عليها أن الطفلة ماتت خنقاً قبل ثلاثة أسابيع من العثور عليها. وأمر القضاء المختص بدفنها في جبانة المنطقة

الا تعلم يا من انت بقاتل ، ان هناك الف وسيلة تمنعك من ان تلد طفلة “غير القتل” واول وسيلة هي كبت الغرائز والتفكير قبل اي تصرف .

من يلام في هذه الحالة : الدولة لانها لا توعّي سكانها ؟ القضاء الذي بات متساهلا مع قضايا كتلك ؟ المسؤولين عن الامن الذين لا يلاحقون هذه القضايا ، فلحد اليوم لم نعرف ان احد سجن لانه قتل او رمى طفلته .

حلين امام هذا المجتمع الكسيح :

اولهما التخلي عن لزم الجنس بالعار فان بات من ولد نتيجة ممارسة الجنس لا يذهب ضحية افكاربائدة وعقد ، وثاني الحلول ملاحقة هؤلاء الاشخاص واعادة تاهيل عقليتهم المريضة والسجينة في تقاليد زالت مع زوال العصور الجاهلية ومفهوم وئد البنات والاطفال .

اخبار اليوم الا تشبه اخبار امس؟ ففي السياسة تشابه بالاحداث ، اوليس اهل الساسة نفسهم ؟ اوليس اهل الساسة هذا وهذا وهذا وهذا و الاخرون ذاك وذاك ؟ بالتالي الخبر لا ضرورة نقله ساعة بساعة ، “العالم مش مجبورا تنفلق بالسياسة ” وفي اخر النهار تنفجر في بطونهم المرارة من شدة مرارة الاخبار او من شدة ما هناك من اخبار اصلا ليس باخبار ، هي كلام بكلام ….

كلام الامس حوار بين ” حزك واستاذ مزك” والمهم في الموضوع الشرح فان شرحنا كل عناصر العبارة نجد نصا من نصوص الكوميديا العالمية …

فلنبدا :

عصبة الانصار ماذا فعلت ؟ قاتلة مع جندي الشام ، ولكن السؤال الذي يطرح على بالي الأمي :

- ما الفرق بين جندي الشام وعصبة الانصار “مش كلن بخدمة بعض”؟

- ما همني ان قاتلت الاولى مع الثانية او الثانية مع الاولى، ما يهمني فعليًا انهم قاتلوا على ارضي وطني، قاتلوا ابناء وطني “وبلي تسترن تنيناتن ” الدم وصل للركب ولم يفهموا بعد ان حروبهم لا تفعل الا تجويعهم ورميهم بالشارع ، وهنا على ذكر الشارع اكد احد الموالين ان الدم لن يسقط في الشارع ، “طيب ” ماذا فعل جندي الشام وعصبة الانصار ، الم ينزل الدم في الشارع ؟ وفي وقت الحشرة سال بعض السوريون ان كان هذا هدوء ما قبل العاصفة : دخلكن ، بشرفكن قلولنا انو بدكن توقع حرب لتعتبروا الوضع مش هادئ؟ داقت بعينك هالحرب الزغيري ؟

نطمانكم من القلب للقلب ان اسرائيل تتحضر هدوء العاصفة وعاصفة الهدوء لن تطول كثيرا :

- فاسرائيل تتحضر : تدرب جنودها ، تطور نظاماً لاعتراض انواع صواريخ، تحذر من مقتل وجرح الآلاف في حرب ستشنها سوريا وايران وحزب الله

- ومن ثم تعود وتناقض نفسها وتقول : مفاوضات حزب الله وإسرائيل حول الأسرى لم تتعثر بعد اغتيال مغنية، اسرائيل لن تشن حرباً على لبنان خلال الشهرين المقبلين، كما ان مسؤول إسرائيلي يستبعد ان يفتح حزب الله جبهة مع إسرائيل

“بعين العقل” كيف تحذر من مقتل وجرح “من ميلة ” وتقول من ميلة اخرى ان لا حرب ، اما نحن لا نقرا بتسلسل ونخاف ان نخاف ام هم يحاولون ان “يكبسونا” بافكار وافكار فننسى ان نفكر بهم .

- وهنا يظهر الحق على مين !

- ايه طيب ، الحق على مين ؟

الحق على الكل وخصوصا على الاميركان ، لا تنس يا انت ان الولايات المتحدة منذ 30 عاما “ما تركتكن بسلام” ولا تنس يا انت الاخر انه ان لم تتعاط مع آخرك في الوطن الاميركان ما فين ما يدخلوا ، اوليست الولايات المتحدة من تسعى ان تكون مختار الكون والدنيا هيك !؟

ومن هنا بين تاكيد “الثورة ” ان طريق التفاهم كان مر عبر لبنان لولا الولايات المتحدة وبين نكران هذا الواقع واقع ان الولايات المتحدة لا تمسك الوفاق نتوقف وننظر بعين الخشوع والتامل نحو قمتنا العربية حيث يتامل اللبنانيون بكثير من الخير للبنان وللوضع العربي العام وهذا بقليل من الواقعية ، فامس وما قبلهما العرب “ما طلع من امرن شي” الان حين ان امرنا “عمتطلع روحوا ” سيحققون نصرا لا يتحقق الا بوفاق ابناء الوطن وبحوار يضع سيد بري لمساته السحرية عليه ومن الملفت ان نكرر لمساته السحرية .

انا براي والله ان يترك طبخة الحوار ويوجه انامله السحرية الى بلاد الماو ماو وينقلهم كلهم “قشي لفي ” الى جزيرة من جزر بلاد الجاه والمال انو بلكي هيك منتوافق .

ولكن على ما يبدو احدهم لديه فكرة اعمق ، نفي اسرائيل و”الهيقة ” الاجماع كبير ، ولكن السؤال كيف ستنقل اسرائيل الى مكان ما ؟ هل لديك خيار اخر ؟ هل ضمن الخيارات مثلا تفجير كوكبنا الحبيب ؟ طمني دخيلك فاسحب يداي من اجماع غير واقعي الا وان على اسرائيل ان تعلم كما قال احد سياسيونا :

“عليهم أن يعرفوا أن دمنا لا يسفك ويترك في الطرقات” !

عدنا الى الطرقات ، اليست الطرقات من مفردات الشوارع ، الم يقل موال ما ان المواجهة والدم لن يسفك في الشارع ؟ والان هذا معارض يقول نفس الامر ، جيد تلاقوا في الشارع “ولادنا ” ،اصلا اصلا اكد الموال للمعارض ان المعارض لم يخدم مصالح غير موالية ” خلص” التاكيد يؤكد ان الحل حبي مما جعله يطلب من اخواننا في الغربة حيث حملتهم رياح الجنوب الى الغرب حيث عانوا الامرين بسبب الضيق الاقتصادي حيث هم غائبون عن ارضهم دعا الرجل وبنية طيبة اولاده اللبنانيين ان يعوضوا عن غيابهم بعدم التخلي عن لبنان والاستثمار فيه لتأمين فرص عمل للشباب ، وليس من الضروري ان يعودوا مش مشكلة المهم الا يتخلوا عن حسابهم الجاري اللبناني …

أحمر … بالخط العريض

خط برامجي جديد

في علم الألوان ، يعتبر اللون الأحمر لونا” قويا” يتراوح بين أحاسيس الحب القوية وبين العنف والحرب. ويذهب البعض في تحليلهم إلى أن اللون الأحمر له تأثير بيولوجي ، فهو يزيد من سرعة التنفس ويرفع ضغط الدم. إذن وفي شكل عام اللون الأحمر هو القوة ، الخطر، الحالات الطارئة، لفت النظر، دعوة إلى التصرف … أما من الناحية العملية ، فيستعمل الأحمر لإشارات السير ، من ضرورة التوقف إلى وجود منطقة خطيرة إلى أضواء الفرامل الحمراء …

أما الخط العريض فهو بكل بساطة تأكيد وإصرار وتشديد على فكرة أو موضوع.

لكن لماذا هذه اللمحة السيكولوجية حول اللون الأحمر ؟ وماذا عن الخط العريض؟ ولماذا أحمر…. بالخط العريض ؟

في الواقع ، “أحمر …. بالخط العريض” هو عنوان لبرنامج حواري إجتماعي جديد ستبدأ بعرضه محطة ال “ال بي سي” ابتداءا” من منتصف شهر آذار.
يمكن تسميته “توك شو” أو برنامج حواري ، لكنه بالتأكيد برنامج يتخطى الخطوط الحمر، ويشكل بحدّ ذاته خطا” جديدا” في هذا النوع من البرامج. فيقدم كل جديد إن لجهة الحالات والمواضيع التي يتم معالجتها ، وطريقة الطرح التي تذهب من التدقيق والتفصيل إلى النبض السريع والدخول مباشرة في صلب الموضوع من دون لف ولا دوران، أو لجهة ديكور الستوديو والريبورتاجات وديناميكية الحلقة والبث المباشر واتصالات المشاهدين …

قصص من الواقع ، حالات تلامس الناس في مجتمعاتنا العربية، أجواء تطل على المشاهد لتضع الإصبع على الجرح كما يقال وربما لتذهب أبعد من ذلك أحيانا”. والأهم من ذلك ان المعالجة لن تكون حتما” في إطار النظريات والتنظير الأكاديمي وطواحين الهوا.

ماهي المواضيع التي سيطرحها برنامج “أحمر … بالخط العريض” ؟ ما هي حدود الجرأة في المعالجة؟ من هو أو من هي مقدم أو مقدمة البرنامج ؟ هل فعلا” سترتبط معاني اللون الأحمر بمضمون البرنامج؟ هل سنشهد حالات طارئة ، أو حدودا” للتعاطي في بعض المواضيع ؟ هل سيستعمل بعض الأشخاص الفرامل عندما تأتي ساعة الصراحة والحسم؟

تدور أحداث مسلسل ” الينابيع ” في عرض البحر على متن باخرة تعيد مواطنَيْن إلى بلدهما الأم لبنان ولكل منهما قصة موجعة عن الهجرة وأمل بلقاء الأهل بعد طول غياب ومرارة .

تتصاعد الأحداث منذ أن فكّر أنور اسماعيل تقمّص شخصية رفيقه في الباخرة جهاد عبد الكريم للشبه الكبير بينهما كي يرث ماله عن أبيه المحتضر على فراش الموت. موقف صعب حيث يتوفى جهاد الإبن الثري بمرض الربو قبل بلوغه شاطىء لبنان ويُودع صديقه أنور كلّ ما لديه بموجب ورقة كونه وقف بجانبه في فترة مرضه .

صراع على الأرث يتزامن مع فترة الحرب اللبنانية حيث يسيطر الخوف من جهة والنهم على المال من جهة أخرى.
ثلاثون حلقة يتبدّل فيها مسار شخصية أنور الفقير العائد لرؤية أمه المتروكة وحدها اذ تتحوّل حياته من الفقر إلى الغنى ومن التعاسة إلى الرفاهية ، لكن كيف ؟ وبأي اتجاه ستسير حلقات المسلسل ؟

الطاغية

أمام الناس الذين لا يعرفون الكثير عنه، هو شخصية فذة مرشحة لأبرز الأدوار في المجتمع نظرا” الى مشاريعه الكثيرة، وأمواله الوفيرة، وإنجازاته الكبيرة.

في عيون القاطنين بين جدران بيته الرهيب، وفي طليعتهم زوجته المقهورة وأولاده الأربعة المقموعون والخدم المسحوقون، هو في كلمة واحدة: الطاغية.

قصة صراع على المال والنفوذ، تتخللها أسرار كثيرة بعضها ينطوي على حب وطموح وقهر قديم وذعر متجدد، وبعضها الآخر يحمل في طياته فضائح من شأنها القضاء على من يحسبون أنهم فوق الخطر. وفي تداخل الحب والطمع وطلب الثأر يتخبط الجميع، ومعظمهم يتقاسم مع الآخرين من دون علمهم، الرغبة الملحة في القضاء على الطاغية.
فهل يوفق أحد من كل هؤلاء إلى النيل من الطاغية؟ وكم ستكون الطريق وعرة والكلفة عالية؟

يتطرق البرنامج بجرأة إلى مواضيع تعنى بالعلاقة بين الرجل والمرأة يتم مناقشتها من الناحية الاجتماعية والنفسية والجنسية. ويطرح أيضاً النظرة القانونية للموضوع من خلال مقابلة خاصة خارج الأستديو مع أحد المحامين. ترتكز فكرة البرنامج حول شخص من المجتمع غير مكشوف الهوية (رجل أو امرأة – أعزب، متزوج أو مطلق…) يقوم بسرد قصته حول علاقاته العاطفية ونظرته للشخص الآخر والحب الجنس والزواج… على سبيل المثال: رجل أعزب والخيانة، امرأة متزوجة عذراء… يستضيف البرنامج 4 ضيوف لمناقشة الموضوع المطروح (أخصائيان وشخصان من المجتمع المدني أي كتّاب، إعلاميين، فنانين أو ممثلين…) كما يقدم البرنامج الإحصائيات والمعلومات العامة حول الفرق بين الرجل والمرأة تتضمن الحلقة فقرات منوعة منها: - تحقيق حول قصة شخص - أرقام وإحصائيات (لبنان وبعض دول العالم) تم تحضيرها من قبل شركة إحصاءات خاصة - مقابلة مع محامي للتعرف إلى الشق القانوني - مقابلة مع فنان معروف يعطي رأيه في الموضوع المطروح حسب موضوع الحلقة - معلومات حول الفرق بين الرجل والمرأة في التفكير والتصرف ونظرتهم إلى العديد من المواضيع - أخبار وتقاليد غريبة من جميع أنحاء العالم حول الموضوع المطروح - سؤال يطرح على المشاهدين عبر الSMS اتصالات مباشرة على الهواء
